What do you look for in a new employee?

We look for someone who loves working in the hospitality industry from the front desk, housekeeping to full food and beverage service. Our team members have respect, integrity, teamwork, empowerment and humility for each other and our guests.

 

What advice would you give someone who wants to work for your organization?

Be ready to come in with a positive attitude and ready to learn and grow! The Bayside has made big changes in the last year and we are only getting better!

Yes, various positions throughout the hotel such as front desk, housekeeping, full food and beverage areas, front of house and back, events and catering to management.

We can meet most of your automotive needs, from sales to finance, as well as service, repair and detailing. Bluenose has a very good reputation for company sales, service and detailing in the small community of Parksville, upholding the values of quality and client satisfaction.

 

What does being an inclusive employer mean to you and how has it benefited your business?

There have been many benefits of hiring inclusively. For example it creates a good team culture. Our new employee is working out very well and has been with us for over 10 months.

A person with a well prepared resume that demonstrates reliability, a good work ethic, good listening habits, and is willing to learn new skills/duties.

We are always looking for people interested in automotive industry and are detail oriented.

In the spring time our detailing department is most active, so we may be hiring for a Detailer then.

How many employees do you have?

Approximately 40 people

What do you look for in a new employee?

We like to hire people who have a good attitude and are team players. They must have a great work ethic, be dependable, and be personable. Though someone with experience is an asset, skills can be taught.

What advice would you give someone who wants to work for your organization?

Come knowing some history about our store, our store hours and what we sell.
