The Coast Salish Employment and Training Society
CSETS is an employment and training service agency that was created by 19 Coast Salish First Nation communities along with 3 Aboriginal Friendship Centres. Their services assist First Nation people between Qualicum and Victoria.
Mid-Island Métis Nation is located in Nanaimo and provides client services and assistance with job search. This organization also provides financial support for post-secondary training. All Vancouver Island residents are eligible but they must provide confirmation of Métis heritage.
If you are interested in training, Vancouver Island University (VIU) provides First Nations Programs at their Nanaimo campus. For more information check out the Aboriginal Programs on their website.
