Central Vancouver Island Multicultural Society (CVIMS)

The Central Vancouver Island Multicultural Society is a non-profit non-political organization providing services to immigrants.
Services include: English language classes, employment programs, directed settlement assistance, and a resource centre.

Tutoring Program

The Career Centre, in partnership with Vancouver Island University, offers free English as a Second Language (ESL) one-to-one tutoring, an English language computer lab, and conversation groups for newcomers to Canada. In October 2008, the Career Centre received designation as a Safe Harbour location. We commit to treating all clients with equity, providing a safe place, and celebrating diversity.
