Youth Employment in Oceanside
We are here to support you in your career decision making, education planning and job search.
The Career Centre can connect youth with programs and initiatives to assist them in reaching their employment goals. Some of these programs include:
BladeRunners – a program managed at the Career Centre by Central Vancouver Island Job Opportunities Building Society (CVIJOBS). This program assists youth in gaining the skills and experience needed to find work.
Get Youth Working – a program that helps unemployed youth (15 to 29 years old) get on-the-job work experience and skills training. It provides a hiring incentive and training funds to qualified employers willing to hire and train eligible youth.
Skills Link – skills development training to help youth facing barriers to employment, find and keep a job.
Skilled Trades Employment Program (STEP) – a program supporting youth interested in working in the trades to connect with training programs and employers.
Service Canada Services for Youth and Students – this is another great website to assist youth in finding employment.
WorkBC – an excellent resource for programs and services available for youth.
